Given the current forecast of inclement weather coupled with our goal of presenting an event that is safe, enjoyable and inspiring to as many members of the community as possible, Whitman-Walker Health has decided to postpone this year’s Walk & 5K to End HIV, originally scheduled for this Saturday.
Held for the past 32 years, the Walk & 5K to End HIV is Whitman-Walker Health’s signature fundraiser that calls on thousands of Washington, DC area residents to strap up their shoes and walk or run to support WWH’s mission of providing dependable, high-quality, comprehensive and accessible health care to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
The event has been reschedule for Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. That day is World AIDS Day, a date of great importance to the community.
The location and route are not impacted by the date change.
Please be a part of the day and close out the last event of Whitman-Walker’s 40th anniversary year.
