On Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 7 pm, tenor Peter Burroughs and concert pianist Carlos Rodriguez will honor the memory of Kevin Neil Anderson with a concert. The two virtuosos will perform a variety of musical styles and selections that reflect Kevin’s love of Bach and the Beatles to show tunes and sea shanties.
Anderson, 64, a longtime DC resident and member of Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, is now free from battling kidney disease. Surrounded by Carol, his wife of 31 years, Pastor Alisa Lasater Wailoo and a dozen friends, his peaceful sendoff on May 23 included a tape of his church choir serenading him.
Please come add your joy to this celebration and applaud these two towering talents and the memory of a man who gave so much to the Capitol Hill community.
The free concert will be at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow. For more information, contact Capitol Hill UMC (421 Seward Square SE) by telephone at 202-546-1000 or visit the website www.chumc.net.
