The 12th Annual DC Career Fair takes place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday October 19 at the Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater (1101 Sixth St. SW).
The event is co-sponsored by Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen along with Councilmembers Elissa Silverman (At Large-D) and Robert White (At Large-D) the Department of Employment Services (DOES) and Arena Stage.
A wide variety of companies and employers will be on site to engage with applicants including DC United, The Wharf, Cal Pro, District Department of Transportation, Blue Sky Construction, Insulators & Allied Workers Local 24, Admiral Security Services, Concord Hospitality, Kimpton Hotels, Levy Restaurants, Metropolitan Police Department, Entertainment Cruises, Oasis Marinas, Reston Limo, Bridgepoint Healthcare, First-class Workforce Solutions, Harris Teeter, WMATA, Hyatt Hotels, Strittmatter Construction and more.
In previous job fairs many job seekers have secured second interviews and offers of employment on site.
