Mount Moriah Baptist Church celebrates their 11th Community and Health Fair Day this Saturday. This video, made in 2015, celebrates their 130th anniversary.
Mount Moriah Baptist Church invites everyone to attend their annual Community and Health Fair Day!
This year’s event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 8 at Mount Moriah (1636 E. Capitol St. NE), and features an astonishingly wide variety of free health activities and giveaways for the whole family –including the family dog!
The Mount Moriah nurse ministry will provide free blood pressure and glucose checks, and flu shots will be available as well., provided by the Safeway Pharmacy. Nurses from the Annapolis Clinic will be on site to talk to youth and teens about health concerns.
There will be a moon bounce and video gaming truck for the kids, and free haircuts will be provided by the barbers of Bennett Career Institute. The church will be handing out free school supplies and clothing, and mobile pet groomers Pooches, Kitties and Kisses will be on hand, giving out free doggie treats to all the four-legged friends that attend!

This is the 11th time that Mount Moriah Baptist Church has hosted the Annual Community and Health Fair. Now in their 133rd year on the Hill, the church is known for their youth outreach, especially scholarships such as the Edward A. Hailes, Sr. Fund, which supports graduating youth in their pursuit of post-secondary education, and their support and partnership with Payne Elementary and Eastern High Schools.
