Three Robberies in Northeast Wednesday

Crime Blotter: June 20th and 21st


The night of Thursday, June 21, the First District Crime Suppression Team (CST) was patrolling on the 700 block of H Street NE near an apparent marijuana pop-up party when they encountered a subject they believed to be armed with a gun leaving the party.  The team recovered a loaded .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

In Other News

At 4:39 a.m. Wednesday, there was a robbery at a drug store on the 600 block of H Street NE.

At 12 a.m. Wednesday, there was a robbery on the 400 block of K Street NE.

At 10:06 p.m. Wednesday, there was a robbery on the 200 block of F Street NE.

There were arrests Wednesday on charges of Simple Assault

  • on the 700 block of Second Street NE
  • 800 block of New Jersey Avenue SE
  • 1000 block of Third Place SE

and Thursday on the 800 block of 21st Street NE.

At 9:58 a.m. Thursday, a car was stolen on the 1600 block of K Street NE.

At 4:04 p.m. Thursday, a woman was arrested on the 300 block of H Street NE on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

Reporting Illegal Activity

Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities helps prevent crime. If a citizen sees suspicious activity, or any activity that seems out of the ordinary, immediately call 911.

When reporting suspicious activity, give an accurate description. Here are some things to include:

  • Brief description of the activity;
  • Date, time and location of the activity;
  • Physical identifiers of anyone you observed;
  • Descriptions of vehicles;
  • Information about where people involved in suspicious activities may have gone;
  • Your name and contact information.
