Don’t Miss The FRIGS

March 6 at the Black Cat

I am always looking for something different or out of my comfort zone. The noise, goth rock band FRIGS definitely meets this requirement. They are performing on Tuesday, March 6th at the Black Cat Backstage.

FRIGS is a Toronto-based band that pairs the raw, emotional grunge of PJ Harvey with the immersive, psychedelic post-punk of early Sonic Youth. With each member bringing a unique set of influences that creates a sound that is hard to pin down and leaves a lasting impression.

Their debut LP, Basic Behaviour makes no attempt to mask those influences. Vocalist Bria Salmena’s growl is the main force shaping their sound, while the shrieking guitar delivers the frenzy. The songs provide depth, texture, and just the right amount of rage. The show is guaranteed to provide a distinct experience that won’t be forgotten. $10.  Door at7:30 p.m.
