Have a 'little' holiday fun at the Northeast Library.

The Northeast Library will show two dog-themed holiday films in the lower level meeting room at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16th and 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 30th.

On December 16th, see The Search for Santa Paws. In this prequel to Santa Buddies, a puppy called Santa Paws and his friends journey through New York to find Santa Claus and restore the spirit of Christmas.

On December 30th, see animated film Balto. Based on the true story that inspired the Iditarod dog sled race, a half-dog, half-husky leads a dog team on a 600-mile trip across the Alaskan wilderness to save the children of Nome, Alaska from an outbreak of diphtheria.

On Monday, Dec 18th at 3:30 p.m. the Northeast Crafternoon will be a holiday card-making extravaganza. They will supply the ribbons, cutouts, stamps and paints — everything necessary to create perfect cards and gift tags for the holiday celebrations ahead, except your hands and your creativity! You’ll bring that. Book giveaways and snacks will be provided.
