The Capitol Hill Caroling Marathon takes place this Sunday as part of the Holly Days.

Eastern Market Main Street (EMMS) and Music on the Hill invite you to attend the first Capitol Hill Caroling Marathon, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday Dec. 10th. The Marathon will feature a full day of holiday singing, featuring choirs from all over the neighborhood and city.

Starting at 10 a.m., groups will leave from the intersection at Seventh and C Streets SE (across from Eastern Market) every hour to carol around the EMMS corridor. Stop to watch or sing along as you do your shopping, and celebrate the holiday season with EMMS!

Participating groups include Capitol Hill United Methodist Church, the Library of Congress Choral, Music on the Hill and more.

Come for the caroling, stay for a full day of activities on the EMMS corridor, including the Italian Market at Radici (303 Seventh St. SE) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit Radici Market for a holiday market full of goodies bringing ten very special Italian vendors to the neighborhood for a day of holiday cheer.  Vendors will be outside on the patio. Take advantage of Radici’s catering services, but get orders in by Dec. 17th for Christmas delivery!

If you own a holiday ‘ugly’ sweater, wear it to Music on the Hill (801 D St. NE) and get 10% off all products in the store —even their sale items. Besides the best selection of guitars, mandolins and ukuleles in the DC area, store owner Lindy Campbell says they have a really great collection of handmade stock stuffers with a musical theme.

The Flea Market at Eastern Market, which celebrated its 34th anniversary in 2017, will hosts exhibitors from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. offering art, collectables, crafts, and antiques from five continents.

There will also be a Holiday Makers Mart at East City Bookshop (645 Pennsylvania Ave. SE) from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., where you can browse a selection of holiday gift offerings from local artists.

Shop products by Hunny Bunny, Grey Moggie with Melanie Ouellette Karlins, Moonlight Bindery, Sneekis: Washington DC and Virginia T-Shirts and local illustrator Elizabeth Early von Oehsen.

Pair unique gifts with the selection of books and quirky bookish goods to create holiday packages for even the hardest-to-shop-for on your list!
