Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Sexual Assault Unit are looking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted Monday on the Unit block of M Street SW.
On Monday, Nov 27th sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m., a man approached a woman that was walking on that block. He grabbed her from behind and pushed her to the ground. During the confrontation, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim, before fleeing the scene on foot.
The suspect is described only as a male of unknown race.
