2017 has been a year of renewed civic awareness and collective actions. As a lifelong photographic observer of many topics, Capitol Hill resident Mark Lindamood has been chronicling civic activities in our city this year, beginning with the massive Women’s March on January 21st. Other, less well-known events, such as the rainy day arrival in Washington of the Charlottesville to the White House march, are included. Mark develops, prints, and frames his own work, and is using the civic awareness topic as the centerpiece of a show of his photography, entitled to “Peaceably to Assemble — Civic Awareness Photography in DC, at The Corner Store, beginning Friday, November 10th. Mark will be present on opening night to talk about his various inspirations and methods. The Corner Store is located at 900 South Carolina Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003 (202-255-2180, cornerstorearts.org).
