The Howl-o-ween Doggy Costume Contest took place the afternoon of Saturday Oct 28th in Lincoln Park, and the neighborhood turned out to watch the doggone spooky parade of about fifty-five pups in costumes!
The parade was also a contest, with prizes for Best Dog and Person Theme, Best Dog and Group Theme and Best Homemade Costume. Winners took home fabulous prizes. One pooch shared his squeaky-toy prize with the young lady who starred with him in their ‘Unicorn’ float.
The event also featured a Parade of Adoptable Dogs. Rural Dog Rescue was at the event will their adorable adoptable pets.
Howl to the Chief (733 Eighth St. SE) gift bags were distributed to the participants. Everyone had a fur-ociously good time!
