Antiochia, the Turkish home linens business, has a new home in the north building of the Hine School Development. The Antiochia Home Linens store is now open at 760 C St. SE.
The store will host a Grand Opening party from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday October 5th. It is only the second business to open in the development, following the Grand Opening of Trader Joe’s September 29th.
The store offers a large selection of home linens in addition to the Turkish towels for which the company became well known while a vendor in the weekend flea market. The company was a regular feature at the market for the last eight years, and served a number of repeat and regular customers.
“While the Turkish towels will always be our specialty, I am beyond excited to expand our product line, including bedding, blankets, kitchen textiles, home décor and more,” said Berna Rodman, owner of Antiochia Home Linens.
Antiochia is a family business that manufactures and sells home textiles both retail and wholesale, with a specialty in traditional Turkish bath towels. The towels are hand-woven on traditional looms in the well-known textile manufacturing town of Denizli in Turkey, which is also Rodman’s hometown.
“We will also offer custom embroidery for corporate gifts, wedding parties and special occasions,” Rodman adds. “Our store will serve as a large showroom where the customers can chose from many of our weaves.”
The store is open seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Rodman says that her goal is for Antiochia Home Linens to become a destination home goods store renowned for its high-quality products and great customer service.
Rodman said the opening celebration is a bit of a ‘getting-to-know-you,’ neighborhood mixer, where neighbors can join in a sip of champagne and nibblies while browsing the store’s selection.
Antiochia Home Linens is located at 760 C St. SE (between Seventh and Eighth Streets SE) in the north building of the Hine School Project located across the street from the parking garage.
